My sisters call me "the boss" of this project. And as the boss I am allowed to stitch more and stitch the hardest parts. I am serious about this, see the proof below.
I can't wear thimble; in fact, I tried one 12 years ago for hand quilting and did not enjoy it.
For now, I am happy with this alternative :)

ReplyDeletelooks like you are having fun. I can't wear regular thimbles but I like the kind that stick on your fingers instead. leather disc or metal just stick on the pad of your fingertip

What a pretty quilt you and your sisters are lounging on while piecing! And what a wonderful way to pass the day together. I have been doing some embroidery and crocheting today, maybe some quilt blocks tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteI love your grandmother's flower garden quilt. Did you do the quilting yourself? I am piecing one and starting to think about how I might quilt it. I would rather quilt it by machine than by hand. It looks like you are having fun!

I can't wear a thimble either and just end up with sore fingers when I EPP. I've also tried tape but mostly use nothing.
